Scott and friends decide to hide Hayden in the school. They hope to lure the Dread Doctors there. Theo and Stiles become unlikely allies as they transfer the body of the guy Theo killed to the vet hospital – they want to find out who is stealing the bodies.
Kira’s mom, Noshiko, tries to give her an impromptu sparring lesson and she and her father are shocked when Kira almost kills her mother. Kira’s mother says the fox inside her is warring within her. It is then Kira realizes she can’t help Scott with the Dread Doctors until she helps herself.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Stilinski and Melissa McCall are trying to find a tie-in to the deaths and the Kanima. What they discover is that they all have had a medical condition that required some kind of skin graph.
As everyone waits on the Dread Doctors, including Parrish, the illusions begin. For Parrish, he imagines Lydia coming to him and, as they begin to kiss, his fiery condition takes affect and burns Lydia to a crisp.
Malia, who of course lived most of her youth as a coyote, steps into traps, or so she thinks, and is pinned down. Scott’s vision is that he is killed by Kira and Lydia has her tongue ripped out.
However, what happens to Theo and Stiles is not an illusion. As the duo are having a bonding moment, though we know most of what Theo is saying is half-truths since earlier in the episode it is shown he is working the Dread Doctors, a fiery fist knocks out Theo. Then Stiles’ jeep is turned over and set on fire as the camera pans into the vet office and then back out as Parrish is carrying the dead body Stiles and Theo were trying to guard.
The Dread Doctors make their way into the high school and they manage to take Liam and Hayden (a lot of good everyone did protecting them). They take Liam and Hayden to their lair and begin their experiments.
The episode ends with Scott and company wondering where Liam and Hayden are and Melissa returning home to find a bloody corpse, with a sword through its torso, on her kitchen table.
