- Young started off in the ring with Robbie E, but he turned to the crowd a bit too long and E tagged Godderz. Godderz chocked Young in the corner and setup a double team move, Young stopped on the ropes and Abyss inexplicably climed in the ring to break it up. Godderz distracted the ref to allow Ion to choke Young with the Bro-Mans most definitely on top. They went for a double atomic drop on Young, but Young slipped free and got a tag to Abyss who cleared house. Borash on commentary revealed Abyss' weight in stones (thanks JB), before Abyss went to put the referee in the Torture Rack, Abyss then hit the Shock Treatment on the referee. The announcers sold that Abyss had snapped. Abyss then chokeslamed Eric Young as the match it would appear ended in a no contest. Young: "So this is it? This is how you want it? We've only got one experiment left, you wanna get crazy? I invented crazy. Me and you, next week, one on one, Monsters Ball". Abyss smiled, which seemed to indicate he accepted. Abyss said "I'm gonna hurt you". WOW!!!! Abyss turns on Eric Young? Yikes!
- We cut backstage right before an advert break, and Bully Ray is pushing a casket along. Okay, That's a bit morbid and yet frightening. I'm scared.
- Back from the break, Christy Hemme was sharing a glass of wine with Samuel Shaw in a house… (?) they are shown walking around the house, she walks into a dark room asks "what's in here", the guy ushers her out, turns on the light and reveals a wall of a shrine to Christy. (Honestly, you're guess is as good as mine on that one!). Ummm....Sam Shaw is obsessed with the lovely Christy Hemme. Awwww :')
- Anyway, Bully Ray comes out with the casket. Ray goes through his usual introductions spiele. Ray ran down Ken Anderson – he said no matter what he does he keeps showing up in what is "now my miserable life". Bully Ray challenged Anderson to a casket match (well, they called it a coffin). Anderson came out and asked what would happen after Bully Ray put him in the coffin. Ray said he would piledrive his wife and kids, and that he would "love to piledrive your wife" – Anderson didn't seem overly upset that that. Anderson said "by the way, my wife and kids, they say hi" and drove the coffin lid into Bully Ray before attacking him at ringside. Anderson grabbed a hair and hit Ray in the chest and back, he went for a third but Ray jumped off the apron and escaped up the ramp.
- Magnus said he wasn't thrilled with having a "green rookie" for his tag partner (really awkward that he picked him). Dixie wished them good luck.
4th Match: Magnus/EC3 vs Samoa Joe/Kurt Angle
Winner:
- If Magnus and ECIII won, Joe and Angle would be gone from TNA. If Joe and Angle win, whoever gets the fall is number one contender. Angle and Carter started the match and exchanged holds. Joe got the tag and hit some quick punches on ECIII in the corner, before hitting an enziguri. Both got tags and Magnus taunted the crowd while having Magnus caught in the topes, we then saw a shot of the investor stepping out of the car, but only saw his legs/feet. Back from the break, Carter has Angle in a rest hold. He and Magnus worked over Angle as the announcers hyped up the reveal of the investor. Angle hits a suplex on Carter and both men go down, Angle gets the hot tag to Samoa Joe. Angle hit ECIII with a belly to belly suplex on the outside, Joe used the distraction and hit the rear naked choke, and the champion tapped clean in the middle of the ring. Samoa Joe is the new number one contender. Dixie Carter came out and said she told you so. Spud's acting (as it has been all night) was top draw in trying to get all involved to calm down. Joe gets on the mic, and acknowledged that he and Kurt would be staying in Impact Wrestling for a "long long time". He told Magnus to stare into his eyes as he was looking at the number one contender. Joe lead the crowd into chanting you tapped out. Angle says he's been in TNA for eight years, that with his victory last week and tonight, Kurt Angle is back! Angle told Dixie to bring her cheque-book, as the time has come to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he told Dixie to bring the new investor. Dixie told the new investor to show their face right now. The arena went dark, and mysterious/suspenseful music played. Out came to the Wolves flanking the new investor – MVP. The crowd chanted MVP and Borash referred to him as MVP. Nice! Great to see MVP back into the wrestling scene.
