After a video package airs recapping Sting's losing his contract from Impact last week, we cut backstage to Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe being held back by TNA officials from ECIII, Magnus and Rockstar Spud. Those three then made their way out to the ring, no worries about Magnus getting cheered here as the Englishman is loudly booed by the Scottish crowd. Magnus says that Sting had "a hell of a run, but all good things must come to an end". He compared him to AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy. "There's a phrase we use when the president of the company decides to restructure. When they trim the fat and they lose the dead wood it's what's known as the 'thinning of the herd'". Magnus said he and Dixie had decided to rid the company of the "dinosaurs lying around" and make way for the "new stars of the business". He then listed Bro-Mans, Zema Ion, Rockstar Spud and Magnus in that list of 'new stars'. ECIII picked up on Magnus saying he "single handledly eliminated AJ" etc… with that out came Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe and ran the trio off. TNA's UK tapings continue that disconcerting run of having the hard camera above the stage. Angle said he and Joe made the trip across the pond to avenge the "screwing of the herd". Angle said Magnus would go down as a "paper champion" – the crowd chanted in kind. Angle and Magnus exchanged words about Magnus' time in the Main Event Mafia. Joe said their patience has run out, and they want to "beat your ass". Magnus suggested Magnus and ECIII vs Joe and Angle, and if he and Magnus won both he and Angle are gone from TNA. Joe, in return, said that if either him or Angle pinned Magnus (seemed like the stipulation just applied to Magnus) then they would become number one contender. That match was made in what will presumably be the main event. But wait (!), out comes Dixie Carter. She says that said match won't happen here tonight. Dixie Carter mentioned the new investor (which got a good reaction), but she couldn't worry about it. Magnus overruled her, and said they're on, we then saw a blacked out people carrier arrive at the arena as we cut to the break. It's the new investor. The camera went up to the car, but Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards stepped out and said all of their questions will be answered tonight. We cut to the ring with Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa in the ring, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne will be their opponents.
1st Match: Gail Kim/Lei'D Tapa vs Velvet Sky/Madison Rayne
Winner: Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne
- The heels attacked the face team before the bell, Gail Kim got the best of Rayne early on but missed a move in the corner and Rayne got a tag from Sky. Sky setup for her finisher, but Tapa interefered, Rayne took her out and Sky was succesful with the second attempt of the "In Yo Face" on Kim and wins the match.
- Their celebrations were cut short by Chris Sabin. Sabin questioned Sky's actions from Impact last week but offered her the opportunity to apologise. Sky shouted "WE'RE DONE" which got a noticeably male cheer from the crowd. DAMN!
- We cut backstage and Angle and Joe go into Bobby Roode's lockerroom. Roode said he would be crazy to try and take out both Angle and Joe. Joe choked Roode and said he wanted him to think about what would happen if he interfered tonight.
- Out next is James Storm. Storm said he and Gunner were friends long before he came to TNA, but something caused that to fall apart. Storm asked Gunner to come out "put an end to this". Gunner said they teamed to be great, they travelled together, they fought in bars together. He blamed the briefcase for causing their blow-up. He said he needed to make a career decision that would affect his family. He said Storm would've done the same thing. He referenced his life in the marines. Storm says he knows Gunner is one hell of a man and one hell of a wrestler. Storm offered reconciliation and said he was sorry, the pair shook hands and Storm said he had his back. With that, out come Bad Influence. Kazarian called Storm a "monkey fart" and asked if anyone believed any of that. That got some brief "monkey fart" chants going. Kazarian said that what Storm desired more than anything was the World Title. Daniels suggested a tag match between Bad Influence and Storm/Gunner, with the briefcase on the line. The faces attacked the heels and the match appeared to start as we headed into the break,
2nd Match: James Storm/Gunner vs Bad Influence
Winner: James Storm and Gunner
- Back from the break, and Kaz is in the ring with Gunner. Gunner climbs the turnbuckle but a distraction from Daniels allows Kaz to hit a high kick and give his team the advantage. Heels dominated Gunner, before he put Daniels in a small package, but the referee was distracted. Gunner got the tag to Storm, who unloaded on Daniels. Storm went to the top and high a high crossbody. Both teams got "blind" tags and Gunner hit a lovely high knee on Kaz. Gunner hit a diving headbutt from the top rope and got the three count on Kazarian.
- Dixie was fretting with Rockstar Spud backstage watching the show on a TV monitor. She told Spud to find out who the investor is. We jumped back to Dixie on the phone who was on the phone to her attorney. Roode interruped, they were both frustrated about who the investor was. Roode asked for his title shot after the work he has done for Dixie. Dixie said she couldn't guarentee it. Roode said he was giving her one week to figure it out, and that until it was, there would be no more favours from him.
- Eric Young was backstage with ODB. He said that he wanted to win the tag title with Abyss. Abyss walked up with a bag. Meanwhile Spud said he was going to get answers from The Wolves over who the investor is. Rockstar Spud walked briskly to the ring (like a deflated Vince McMahon). Spud dialed up some cheap, cross-boader heat – the crowd started a loud "Scotland" chant. Spud said he wanted to find out who the investor was – with that out came The Wolves. Spud asked outright who the investor was, then used "interrogation techniques" (a light) – and got no repsonse from either man. Spud got angry, even said he pushed Hardy off of a "500 pound ladder" – he demanded they talked, and slapped Richards in the face. The pair attacked him and hit a lovely double team move. Edwards said that Dixie would find out the investor the same time as everyone else, but that it would happen tonight. They said that the investor was very interested in the main event, and if any wrestler inferers in the main event, they would be fired.
3rd Match: Eric Young/Abyss vs BroMans
Winner: No Contest
