Winner: Ken Anderson
-First match up on the show is Bram as he carries out Mr. Anderson’s microphone that he stole and bashed Anderson over the head with last week. Bram’s conviction and intensity instantly made me a fan of his when he debuted for TNA. Mr. Anderson is up next and obviously skips his normal entrance before running to the ring to face Bram. He starts off the bout with some heavy chops across Bram’s chest and clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor! Anderson breaks the count on the outside after some thrashing against the apron to Bram. They come back in the ring for a split second before Anderson reverse a boot the face by pushing Bram back to the outside. Bram assumes control from here with a rough shot into the steps to the microphone wielding superstar. The Pope accurately goes as far to say, “Bram is Bruiser Brody reincarnated”. Bram begins to show some true dominance by touring Anderson around the security railing and tossing him into it several times. Bram hangs Anderson over the apron while partially back in the ring and covers his head with the apron while whaling on his back unmercifully. A nasty back elbow off the ropes to Anderson earns Bram the first 2-count of the bout. Anderson begins fighting out of the reverse chinlock Bram has started. Anderson finally shows a bit of life with a boot in the corner after and Irish Whip followed by a few quick jabs that brings Bram to the canvas. Anderson hits a high angle slam for a 2-count of his own. Anderson goes climbing to the top rope, but Bram pops up in time to set-up for a Superplex in his favor. After a little back-and-forth on the turnbuckle, Bram hooks the arm and successfully hits a devastating Superplex for a 2-count. Big clothesline from Bram as they both get to their feet followed by a rather uncharacteristic Spinning Heel Kick in the middle of the ring by Bram for a close 2-count again. Three Short-Arm Clotheslines later put Anderson in serious trouble, but when Bram gets greedy and goes for a fourth, Anderson is able to momentarily reverse only to get creamed by the 4th one by Bram! Bram begins getting frustrated as he covers Anderson for a 2-count and covers him a couple more times immediately after, forcing him to use all of his energy kicking out rather than actually on the offensive. Anderson uses Bram’s frustration against him and reverses another Suplex attempt into a Small Package for the surprise win! Then, in true Bram fashion and showing that this feud is far from over, Bram chases Anderson up the stage with his trademark microphone and clocks him before taunting an unconscious Anderson.
-We go backstage to Josh Matthews and The Pope as they break down what is coming up in the “Name vs. Career” Match between Rockstar Spud and Austin Aries where if Aries wins, Spud is no longer allowed to use the “Rockstar” part of his name and if Spud pulls off the unthinkable and beats Austin, Aries will have to leave TNA forever!
-Now, JB Jeremy Borash interview Matt Hardy with his brother, Jeff Hardy. Matt says he has always defied the odds being from the blue collar town of Cameron, North Carolina. Jeff chimes in saying that he has disappointed his brother by losing the tag titles via his broken leg and that he has full confidence his brother becoming the next TNA World Champion!
-James Storm makes his way out to the arena with a bullrope draped around his neck. Storm proclaims his job is to create somebodies out of nobodies and that he feels betrayed by someone who has not shown him the same respect he thinks he has shown to them. He calls out Koya and throws the walking stick he brings into the ring on the ground. Storm gets in his face and starts slapping him, goading him to hit him back. He begins comparing Koya to the fans and how stupid they are. Koya then catches the rambling Storm with a Sky High as he turns around! Koya then reveals his real first name (Mahavu Ishira is what I heard) and how proud he is to be from India.
-Next is a build-up to the next match in the saga that is The Dollhouse vs. Gail Kim with a mention of Brooke as well.
-We return to Storm raging backstage, yelling at Koya. He challenges him to a match, telling him to, “put your boots on, you’re about to dance with The Devil”.
2nd Match: Gail Kim vs The Dollhouse
Winner: Gail Kim
-The Dollhouse begins to make their way to the ring, all three of them looking sexy as ever. They give off a Beautiful People feel with a different approach I feel, something that makes them a fresh gimmick. The crowd goes wild as now Gail Kim makes a b-line for the ring for this 3-on-1 Handicap Match. This is apparently going to be a tag formatted Handicap Match as Marti Belle starts off with Kim to no avail as Gail lands some leg kicks and whips Marti into a roll-up for a 2-count. Jade goes in for the save, but fumbles and Kim tosses Jade into Marti Belle and they tumble outside. Taryn Terell soon becomes a distraction on the apron, leaving a window open for Marti to take out Gail with a nice Basement Neckbreaker. Taryn wants to make the cover, so she tags in and out instantly just get the cover. The second Gail kicks out, Taryn tags out. Big dropkick to the back on Jade for a close 2-count. The numbers game becomes apparent as Taryn continues to slow Gail down and make her fall victim to a telegraphed German Suplex. A cannonball in the corner by Jade and then Taryn tags in and right back out when Gail refuses to be held down. Marti Belle is tagged back in and taken out only to tag Jade in, who promptly receives a DDT. Taryn books it out of the arena when Gail is left all alone with her. Gail begins to focus on the business at hand and hits a nice Springboard Splash to Marti Belle and gets a swift kick to the head from Jade when she goes for the cover. Double Suplex attempt reversed into Double Dropkick by Gail Kim on Marti Belle and Jade. She picks up Marti Belle for the Eat Defeat (one of my favorite finishers in the business for men & women) for the monumental win. Normally, I am not a fan of one going over three…but that seemed necessary for Kim as she has been terrorized by the Dollhouse for several months.
-Drew Galloway’s part of the show is up next as he proclaims that his fighting side-by-side with Eli Drake was nothing but a farce. He points out his selfishness, his jealousy, and the fact that he cost Drew the TNA World Title. He exclaims that, “I stand up…to see you fall.”
3rd Match: Eli Drake vs Drew Galloway
Winner: Eli Drake
-We return from commercial to see Drew coming out to a roaring ovation from the iMPACT crowd! Eli Drake comes out next, talking trash all the way down the rampway with his shirt that formerly said, “Stand Up” now says “Sit Down”. Galloway doesn’t even let Drake in the ring, attacking him on the steps. Drew picks him up high and drops him neck first on the security railing. Drake comes back with a knee to the gut, setting up for a Piledriver that Galloway Back Drops out of. Big-time chops from Drew on the outside as fans are allowed to hold Drake back while Drew chops away! Talk about fan interaction!! Big boot from the much taller Drew followed by a Body Slam on the edge of the apron. Drake rolls in the ring and Drew follows with the bell finally ringing, signifying the official beginning to the match. Eli begins to run from Drew, but Galloway catches up to him at the rampway and drags him back to the ring unwilling. Drake is able to get the higher ground and send Drew shoulder-first into the ring post and mount him for some serious punches to the face. Eli has the clear advantage at this point, but is blatantly choking Drew…forcing referee Earl Hebner to threaten a DQ. Drew begins fighting back, but cannot capitalize as Eli brings him down head first. Very few false finishes and pinfall attempts tonight in all matches, something I feel is required. Drew fights back with a few clotheslines and a wild-looking Release German Suplex into the turnbuckle on Eli Drake. Drew runs into the ropes for his Roderick Strong-like Sick Kick finish, but Drake leans out of the ropes for protection. Eli then distracts Drew long enough to roll him up, and get the tainted win by holding the tights.
-A flashback is shown to last week, where Aries challenges Rockstar Spud to the ultra-interesting “Name vs. Career” Match between the two coming up later in the show.
-Next up, Bully Ray is seen backstage telling Earl Hebner’s son, Brian Hebner that he knows his father has to retire soon and that the job is his. Out goes Hebner, in comes Bobby Roode who is concerned with Aries’ losing his match and possibly not having a tag team partner anymore. Roode promises that Rockstar Spud will not be winning this match while Bully says he will make sure the best man wins.
4th Match: Austin Aries vs Rockstar Spud
Winner: Rockstar Spud
-The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived” Austin Aries, the creator “Option C”, is heading out to the ring now to face off against Rockstar Spud. Spud comes out with a new sense of presence it seems like. The two size each other up for a bit and let the crowd dictate the pace. They lock-up and Aries shows his superiority by spinning on Spud’s back and locking in the Last Chancery during the first moments of the match! Spud scrambles the ropes in time and they separate. Some chain wrestling by the two stars trading waistlocks, headlocks, and wristlocks followed by a nice hiptoss by Aries. Aries then hits a rough knee in the corner and assumes control of the match. He heads out to the apron and hits his trademark Springboard Splash with that kink he does mid-air. An embarrassing set of punches in the corner to Spud give the Brit a small window to return fire, but to no avail. Aries then goads the crowd on with his other trademark move, the Pendulum Elbow for a 2-count, followed up by a Rear Chinlock. Aries hits a devastating neckbreaker in the ropes. Nice return Missle Dropkick by Spud, who also reverses a whip and boot in the corner with a boot of his own to Aries! Spud hits Aries from several angles with an elbow from each set of ropes and when Aries reverses the fourth try for a leg-trap suplex, Spud reverses with a nice kick and dropkick. Aries then hits his “1-2 Combination” as Josh Matthews calls it and locks in the Last Chancery again, this time for about ten seconds before Spud reaches the rope. HUGE dropkick to the face of Spud, setting up the Brainbuster attempt…but NO! Spud gets the roll-up but Aries kicks out. Aries then hits two Discus Elbows, backing him in the corner and hitting two more high impact elbows. Aries goes for the Brainbuster unopposed now, goes for the cover, but SPUD KICKS OUT! Aries makes sure by covering him again, but SPUD KICKS OUT AGAIN! Aries is livid as Spud starts fighting his way up and trading punches with Austin Aries! Spud gets the upper-hand with some nice jabs, but as he winds up for the comedic final shot, but Aries counters and whips Spud in the corner. Spud jumps up and blocks it, landing behind him and hitting the wind-up shot. Spud then head up top and hits a great Cross Body Block for a super close 2-count! Aries catches Spud going up again to the top rope and perches him up there with a wicked chop to the back. Super Backsuplex attempt by Aries turns into a Super Acid Drop from the top rope by Rockstar Spud to get the underdog win! This is by far the biggest win in Rockstar Spud’s short career! What a great way to get this generation’s Spike Dudley some much needed and much deserved credibility.
-Backstage, we see Austin Aries apologizing to Bobby Roode, saying how unpredictable this business is. Roode says he is speechless and is unsure of where they will both go and/or end up. Aries says that there are few wrestlers left in this world that are of the class they are…however, wrestlers like they always land on their feet at all times because of the amount of talent they have…which is certainly true!
5th Match: James Storm vs Mahabali Shira
Winner: Mahabali Shira
-Jeff immediately offers help from Global Force Wrestling. Dixie is not fully convinced, but reluctantly lets Jeff put on the show next week. Josh Matthews and The Pope then speculate on what Jeff Jarrett has planned for next week before they send it to ECIII for his comments from last week where he used the prefix “un” to the utmost and proclaimed that Matt Hardy won’t even be a blip on the radar of his soon-to-be-legendary title reign.
6th Match: EC3 vs Matt Hardy
Winner: EC3
-After formal introductions, the two main eventers lock-up for the first time. EC3 whiffs the first shot and Matt hits a nice Bulldog out of the corner. Matt sets up for a Side Effect early in the match, but EC3 creates a little space in order to knock Hardy down with a clothesline. Carter gets a chair and clocks him in the gut and the back. Ethan sits down and leisurely taunts a hurt Hardy before standing and slamming him face first into the seat. Matt reverses the tide and hits a nice shot the face before landing the biggest move yet with a huge Side Effect through the chair! Matt goes to the outside and introduces the first ladder into this TNA World Title Match. EC3 then takes a hip toss on the ladder and gets slammed face first into it a few times after that for good measure. Matt leans the ladder in the corner and whips the champion into it back-first, much to the chagrin of the 1%’er. Matt begins to climb the ladder but EC3 is able to take out Matt’s leg with a chair to the knee. We return from the last break of TNA No Surrender 2015 to see EC3 kicking Matt Hardy while he is down and trapped inside the turned over set of steel steps. EC3 is now climbing the ladder for the first time himself, but Matt is able to roll in the ring and tumble the ladder over. He then capitalizes on it by bringing the ladder into EC3’s privates, ensuring there won’t be any little EC3’s running round anytime soon. Carter fights his way up to his credit, only to fall to a crippling Spinning Neckbreaker. Matt tries for the title again, but Ethan is able to save the day by pushing the ladder over. However, Hardy lands on his feet and clocks EC3 with a clothesline. He picks his dead weight up and puts Carter on a table just like his aunt was several months ago by Bully Ray. Carter is able to turn the tides and rock Matt’s world with a powerbomb through the table! EC3 drops one last insult to Hardy and climbs the ladder again. Matt is surviving as he grabs the champ’s leg on his way up. Ethan gets a bit annoyed and begins dropping elbows on the inside of Matt’s legs, handicapping him for the time being. EC3 slowly makes his way back up the ladder again, merely touches it, and gets yanked right back to the canvas unceremoniously by Matt Hardy! Hardy hits a shot to the gut with a new chair a vicious shot to the back as well. Matt is going for another ladder, wedging it between the steel steps and the apron. Matt sets up to Suplex Ethan to the outside, but gets pushed over and hits his head hard on the ladder, rolling off and to the mats on the outside. Ethan sets up a 2nd table and plans to put Matt Hardy away for good. Matt pops up though and nails a Side Effect on the edge of the ring apron! Matt then lays the champion on the table only to head up top and hit his iconic Legdrop from the top rope to the outside…THROUGH THE TABLE! Both men look exhausted in the destroyed table, but Matt Hardy begins to crawl out first…heading for the TNA World Title. Matt is climbing the ladder with his one good leg, but takes a rough shot the other knee by EC3 with another nasty chair shot! The struggle begins as they both start climbing the ladder. EC3 gets to the top first, reaches first, but Hardy gets the first punch in as he pummels Ec3 down a few rungs. EC3 is able to focus on Matt’s bad knees and push Matt off eventually and grab his coveted TNA World Title.
