He talks about how the world called Seth Rollins the “Architect” of the Shield because he was the “smart one”. He says Seth was so smart he had the Authority attack him 3-on-1 on Raw, but he’s still standing on Smackdown. He asks them if that’s all they got for him, and calls them all out to fight, right now. Seth Rollins shows up on the Tron and hypes their match on Sunday at Battleground. He calls it a box office draw, and doesn’t want to ruin their match by coming out there tonight. However, he announces Ambrose will face Kane tonight on Smackdown. Kane raises his arms and pyro goes off in the ring.

-Meanwhile backstage Goldust rants to Stardust....about dimensions, and sound, and sight, and holding the keys to a dimension of bizarre. Cody blows gold dust in his brothers’ face, and does a weird screech. OK then… awkward.
- Chris Jericho is out next, about to make his in-ring return to WWE Smackdown. He’s got a pretty nasty bruise on the left side of his face from the beatdown at the hands of the Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt comes out and sits in his rocking chair. He tells Jericho not to worry about “saving us”, because he should be worried about saving himself this Sunday at Battleground.
3rd Match: Chris Jericho vs Luke Harper

- Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger are out. Colter talks about Lana putting over Russia and the Rusev Crush, but is sick of them. Zeb says nobody is a bigger critic of the U.S. government than him, but that’s for them to say, not outsiders like Lana and Rusev. He announces Jack Swagger vs. Rusev for WWE Battleground, and his guy will be “crush-proof” this Sunday. We the People. Lana and Rusev come out, and Rusev tries to get a Russia chant going the crowd responds with a “USA” chant instead. Swagger and Rusev wave their corresponding flags at each other.
4th Match: Alberto Del Rio vs Kofi Kingston

-Backstage, Fandango runs into Summer Rae and Layla. Fandango says some B.S. about having both of them. Summer calls him a flamingo and they make fun of his lame dance moves. They walk away, and Bo Dallas shows up. Bo tells Fandango that if he loves something, he’s got to let them go. He says all he’s got to do is Bo-leave.
5th Match: AJ Lee/Paige vs Summer Rae/Layla
Winner: AJ Lee & Paige
after the match, the two divas stare-down. AJ extends the hand and Paige shakes it, and brings her in for a hug. They play it off like they’re now great friends…for no reason at all. Major awkward. #Frenemies
-Backstage, Kane tells Seth Rollins that he has plans for Dean Ambrose. Seth asks for a favor – to leave a little bit of life in Ambrose so he can finish the job at Battleground. Kane tells him not to get any ideas about cashing in the Money in the Bank contract.
6th Match: Dean Ambrose vs Kane
Winner: Dean Ambrose
-After the match, Rollins clearly was faking his “knee injury” from earlier tonight, as he’s running around now, and Cole calls him on it. The two heels beat down Ambrose, bringing the steel steps into the ring. We get a “Roman” chant, but Seth hits the Curb Stomp into the steps to knock him out. Smackdown ends with Kane and Rollins standing over the fallen Dean Ambrose.
-Build up for Battleground. Not bad, not bad at all.
