I'm screaming at all I hold dear
Watching my stars disappear from the sky
While holding brushes of black paint in each hand
Wondering why I can't rekindle the light.
Growing so cold in the presence of apparent love
I am more willing to accept hatred
Than the uncertainty of companionship.
Another night to kiss the sky
And softly tell ears too distant to hear "sleep well"
While putting my arm across a vacant mattress
With tears which hold no loving reflection
Simply resting undisturbed beneath me
An absence of steady breaths at either side
My love would sleep in solitude
A solitude I confine us both to
We'll beg for chances from one another
But nothing can give us both that chance
How do we know when to accept the ending
When with every second I miss them more
And with every second they have claimed the same
Yet when together there is so little
Clinging onto the memories of a joy we once shared
Desperately wishing it had never been..
Watching my stars disappear from the sky
While holding brushes of black paint in each hand
Wondering why I can't rekindle the light.
Growing so cold in the presence of apparent love
I am more willing to accept hatred
Than the uncertainty of companionship.
Another night to kiss the sky
And softly tell ears too distant to hear "sleep well"
